Cecilia deMille Presley is a film producer, preservationist, and philanthropist. She attended the University of Southern California. She is a trustee of the Cecil B. De Mille Foundation, a general partner of Motion Picture Associates, LLC, and a vice president of Presley Petroleum. Ms. Presley’s productions include Cecil B. De Mille: An American Epic, the biography of her Grandfather directed by Kevin Brownlow and Patrick Stansbury. She also made Masters of Production: The Hidden Art of Hollywood, a documentary about production designers directed by John Flynn. She has curated and mounted the De Mille Dynasty exhibits at Lincoln Center, at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and at the USC Cinematic Arts Library. Ms. Presley has been a leading supporter of film preservation, beginning with the films produced and directed by her grandfather. This work led her to collaborate on preservation projects with Gene Allen at the Academy, with the UCLA Film and Television Archives, the American Film Institute, George Eastman House, and NFPF. She has donated film related art to the Dodge College of Film and Media Arts at Chapman University. Ms. Presley’s support of film education includes the following: the Cecil B. De Mille Reading Room in the Academy’s Margaret Herrick Library, the Cecil B. De Mille Reading Room in the USC Cinematic Arts Library, a silent-film chair for the USC School of Cinematic Arts, and a sound stage for the Dodge College at Chapman University. She recently made an endowment to the Academy Foundation Museum. Cecilia de Mille Presley currently serves on: American Film Institute Board Chapman University-Board of Trustees Hoofs and Woofs Animal Rescue-Advisory Board National Film Preservation Foundation Red Bucket Equine Rescue-Advisory Board UCLA School of Film & Television- Board Ms. Presley recently authored along with Mark A. Vieira, a comprehensive visual and archival study of her grandfather’s work, Cecil B. De Mille: The Art of the Hollywood Epic which won the William K. Everson Film History Award.
